Lombard Odier appoints new thematics team

Geneva-based Lombard Odier Investment Managers has made three appointments ahead of the launch of a fintech strategy in early 2020.

Henk Grootveld, who will lead a new thematics team, brings over twenty years’ experience in thematic investment.

Grootveld joins from Robeco, where he was head of the Trends Investing Equity.

He will be supported by Christian Vondenbusch and Jeroen van Oerle, who also join from Robeco.

The team will be based in Rotterdam, where Lombard Odier plans to open an office soon.

Didier Rabattu, Lombard Odier’s global head of equities, said: “The creation of this team represents an important step forward for the firm’s thematic equities franchise.

“We are excited to strengthen our existing franchise and offer a new means to capture attractive investment opportunities and returns.”
