JP Morgan GIM appoints new global equities chief

JP Morgan Global Investment Management has promoted Paul Quinsee to the post of global head of equities, effective the fourth quarter of this year. Quinsee succeeds Martin Porter, who is retiring after 32 years with the firm. In his new role, Quinsee will oversee a team of over 400 investment professionals, who manage $430 billion (€486.24 billion) in client assets. He will report to Chris Willcox, chief executive officer of JP Morgan GIM. Quinsee was previously chief investment officer for US equities. He has 25 years’ experience in JP Morgan’s equities business, having previously held portfolio manager and client portfolio manager roles in both London and New York. Before joining JP Morgan, Quinsee spent five years as an equity portfolio manager with Citibank, and two years with Schroders in London. A spokesperson for the firm said no investment strategies or portfolio management teams will be impacted by the change. A replacement for Quinsee will be appointed in due course.  ©2016 funds europe
