Ken Lambden, formerly chief investment officer at Baring Asset Management, is to be the next group chief executive of JO Hambro Capital Management.
Gavin Rochussen (pictured), current group chief executive, has held the role since 2008 and is to become international group executive of BT Investment Management (BTIM), the Australian-listed fund management group that owns JOHCM.
A spokesperson said Rochussen will play a central role in the firm’s international growth plans, as the company expands into the US and Asia.
Lambden, who is also a former head of global equities at Schroders, will report to Rochussen for six months before reporting directly to BTIM group chief executive Emilio Gonzalez.
Both Rochussen and Lambden’s roles commence October 3, the start of BTIM’s new financial year. They will both be members of the BTIM global executive committee.
A spokesperson for JOHCM, which manages assets of €19.1 billion, said there would be no change to the structure of any of the JOHCM investment teams and investment strategies will remain the same.
