Columbia Threadneedle expands German team

Columbia Threadneedle Investments has announced the expansion of its team in Germany with the appointment of two sales managers and one sales executive.

Florian Presissler (pictured), Max Schulze and Hannah Pollach have joined the firm’s Frankfurt office with immediate effect, bringing the total number of its team members to 14 compared to nine at the start of 2018.

The asset management company remains focused on Germany’s Sparkassen (savings banks) clientele.

As sales managers, Presissler and Schulze will work closely with sales director Jesco Schwarz on Sparkassen clients. Since joining Columbia Threadneedle in July 2017, Schwarz has been consolidating relations with the 50 largest savings banks in Germany.

Hannah Pollach, joining from Lazard Asset Management in Frankfurt, has been appointed as sales executive for Columbia Threadneedle’s German team.

According to the asset management firm, Germany continues to be a strategically key market. “We have been present in Germany for 20 years and our business in this country is growing consistently,” said Columbia Threadneedle’s German head Florian Uleer.
