BNPPAM appoints head of distribution for southern Europe

BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPPAM) has appointed Fabien Madar as head of distribution for southern Europe.

Madar, who will take up the newly-created post in July, was most recently general manager and head of institutional business for Pioneer Investments’ French business prior to its acquisition by Amundi.

He has also worked in Pioneer’s distribution activities in the Benelux countries, Switzerland and Scandinavia.

Madar began his career as an analyst with La Compagnie Financière Edmond de Rothschild, before joining CDC Gestion in 1991 as a portfolio manager.

In his new role, Madar, who will be based in Paris, will report to Sandro Pierri, BNPPAM’s global head of client group.
