BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPPAM) has created a 130-strong investment group focused partly on multi-asset investing and solutions.
The multi-asset, quantitative and solutions (MAQS) group is part of the firm’s plan to streamline its organisational structure.
Combined in MAQS are teams from affiliated asset managers Theam, CamGestion and Multi-Asset Solutions.
The group has over €110 billion of assets under management and employees in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, the UK and Hong Kong.
BNPAM said the group combines quantitative investing with fundamental research.
Denis Panel leads the group and Christophe Moulin leads multi-asset; Isabelle Bourcier leads quant and index-based management; Gilles David leads structured investments; and Anton Wouters leads solutions and client advisory, which targets pension funds and insurance companies with tailored products.
Panel said: “Combining our capabilities into a single investment group will allow us to better meet investors’ needs by generating alpha and revenue, protecting capital, controlling risk and providing beta exposure.”
