BNP Paribas AM appoints head of pensions

BNP Paribas Asset Management has appointed Julien Halfon as head of pension solutions within its multi-asset, quantitative and solutions investment group.

Based in London, Halfon will be responsible for constructing customised solutions for clients, including balance sheet management, multi-asset solutions and overlays and will work closely with the institutional sales and investment teams.

He joins from the Mercer consultancy, where he was a senior consultant within the structured solutions group.

He has previously worked at P-Solve, Lazard and Goldman Sachs and began his career as an economist at the French finance ministry before working for the European Commission.

In the newly-created role Halfon will report to Anton Wouters, head of solutions & client advisory, who said: “As investors increasingly seek solutions that better address their needs Julien’s experience will add to our existing capabilities as we further expand our solutions business.”
