Tisa, the not-for-profit financial services membership organisation, has announced that Jamie Jenkins, head of pensions strategy at Standard Life, will be the new chair of its Retirement Policy Council.
Jenkins will succeed Natanje Holt, managing director at UK technology and business services company Dunstan Thomas, who has now completed her term of office.
Working in the industry for over 25 years, Jenkins has held a variety of roles in areas including operations, client management, marketing, policy and strategy. He is also a member of the working group that is developing Tisa’s Savings & Investments Policy project (TSIP) response to the pension tax relief consultation.
Commenting on the appointment, David Dalton-Brown, director general of Tisa, says the UK is in an exciting period of change for the pension landscape.
“We know we still face a major challenge if we are to avoid a tipping point in 2035, when for the first time in nearly 100 years a generation will retire less well-off than the previous one,” he says.
“I am therefore delighted that Jamie Jenkins has agreed to lead our Retirement Policy Council at this crucial time.”
