T. Rowe Price poaches Woodford IM sales manager

T. Rowe Price has appointed Simon King to lead its client relationship management team in the UK.

In this newly created role, King will be tasked with enhancing the company’s engagement with UK fund selectors and the intermediary market.

Before King joined Woodford Investment Management in 2014 as client relationship manager, he spent over a decade in Thames River Capital’s sales team. Following its takeover by F&C, he became co-head of UK wholesale.

He will report to John Yule, head of intermediary relationship management. The pair previously worked together at F&C.

A spokesperson for Woodford said a permanent replacement will soon be announced.

T. Rowe Price manages assets of around $764.6 billion (€682.5 billion) globally.
