Vanguard to list low-cost ETFs

Vanguard Funds has received authorisation from the Central Bank of Ireland for five Irish-domiciled exchange-traded funds (ETFs), which are expected to be admitted to trading on the London Stock Exchange shortly.

These physically-backed ETFs will have total expense ratios between 0.09% and 0.45%.

The suite includes the Vanguard FTSE 100 ETF, the Vanguard S&P 500 ETF, the Vanguard FTSE Emerging Markets ETF, the Vanguard All World ETF and the Vanguard UK Government Bond ETF.

Tom Rampulla, managing director, said these low-cost products allowed investors to access broadly diversified stock and bond investments.

“We have chosen to launch the physical-backed ETF replication model because it is straightforward and easy to understand“ Rampulla added.
