Threadneedle announces EM appointment

London-based fund management firm Threadneedle has appointed John Peta to lead its emerging market debt team along with Henry Stipp, it was announced today.

Peta joins Threadneedle from Boston-based Acadian Asset Management, where he was head of emerging market debt, having joined the firm in 2007.

Peta and Stipp, who has been at Threadneedle since 2001, will also lead the eight-strong emerging market macro economic strategy group, which formulates emerging market investment strategy across a range of Threadneedle’s fixed income products.

Threadneedle manages £1.8 billion (€2.2 billion) in emerging market debt.
