Robeco hires head of ETFs

Asset manager Robeco has appointed Nick King as head of exchange-traded funnds (ETFs) with effect from October.

This move is a part of the asset management firm’s 2021-2025 strategy to expand its current investment capabilities with an ETF platform.

“ETFs present a significant opportunity to package strategies and complement existing capabilities offered through mutual funds and mandates,” it added.

Before this role, King served at Fidelity International and BlackRock, where he specialised in ETF product development, portfolio management and distribution across various asset classes.

On his appointment  during a “pivotal moment” in Robeco’s journey into the ETF market, King commented: “I look forward to leveraging my experience to drive innovation in this rapidly evolving space.”

Ivo Frielink, head of strategic product and business development at Robeco, said that King’s leadership would help Robeco wrap its investment expertise and strategies into a comprehensive ETF lineup.
