RLAM bolsters high yield team for fund launch

Royal London Asset Management (RLAM) has added four members to its global high yield team ahead of the launch of a multi-asset credit fund.

Khuram Sharih joins the team as fund manager, focusing on leveraged loans and alternative credit. He makes the move from Newton Investment Management, where he worked with the company’s fixed income and global multi-asset teams. He was previously a senior credit analyst at Cairn Capital.

Sebastien Poulin has been appointed senior credit analyst, working between high yield and leveraged loans. He joins from Principal Global Investors, and has also held roles at Newton, Standard & Poor’s and BNP Paribas.

Meanwhile, Gary Ewen and Tom Elliott will also join the team to bolster its multi-asset credit capabilities, moving from Mercer and Debtwire respectively.

The Multi Asset Credit fund is open to institutional clients only, and will comprise a directly invested, globally diversified portfolio concentrating on the alternatives part of the credit universe.

It will invest in secured and unsecured high yield debt, loans, asset backed securities and emerging market debt.
