RBC Investor & Treasury Services (RBC I&TS) is harnessing big data to provide information on international Ucits fund distribution.
The custody bank and asset servicing business has launched Fund Sales Intelligence (FSI), a tool for fund manager clients “to gain insight into their global Ucits fund distribution trends”.
Fund managers will get a greater understanding, the company says, from the aggregated and anonymous data of how their global Ucits fund distribution performance compares to that of the industry benchmarks.
RBC I&TS processes about ten million fund subscriptions and redemptions per year. This is 31% of the total number of combined fund orders processed in Luxembourg and Ireland, the custodian says.
FSI will also provide access to market and macro-economic data across 24 major Ucits distribution countries and in-depth analysis of proprietary fund sales.
Sébastien Danloy, managing director, continental Europe & offshore at RBC I&TS, says: “Working as a partner to our clients, we want to support effective business planning in this environment by providing [clients] with in-depth analysis of investor trends, local market conditions and distribution patterns, all of which are vital to the asset manager’s ability to generate net new sales.”
