Northern Trust and ABN Amro launch passive fund range

Northern Trust has collaborated with ABN Amro to launch a range of Dutch-domiciled passive funds investing in equities and real estate for ABN Amro’s private and retail clients.

The funds are: Northern Trust Europe Equity Index Ucits FGR Fund; Northern Trust North America Equity Index Ucits FGR Fund; and Northern Trust Developed Real Estate Index Ucits FGR Fund.

Wayne Bowers, chief executive officer for Northern Trust Asset Management (NTAM) in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific, says the funds respond to investor demand for income-producing and stable investment opportunities in a low interest rate environment.

NTAM is owned by Northern Trust, a custody bank with assets under custody of $6 trillion (€5.6 trillion) and assets under management of $934.1 billion, as of December 31, 2014.
