White-label ETF provider HANetf appoints compliance firm

HANetf, described as Europe’s first independent white label platform for ETFs, has appointed Carne Group to provide compliance services.

Carne’s remit spans compliance-related activities including designated persons, global registration and anti-money laundering services.

Nik Bienkowski and Hector McNeil founded HANetf to allow asset managers and other players that faced high barriers to entry to launch Ucits-regulated ETFs in Europe.

HANetf’s Irish-domiciled platform for new issuers includes help with product development, capital markets, sales and marketing, and distribution.

The firm announced a number of hires this year including Jason Griffin, previously of Source.

In January it announced BNY Mellon would be its custodian.
