UBS unveils climate change equity strategy

Zurich-based UBS Asset Management has launched an equity strategy aimed at addressing climate change.

The Ireland-domiciled UBS CCF (IE) Global Climate Aware Ucits Fund had attracted investment of over €250 million at launch.

The new strategy follows the successful launch of the UBS Life Climate Aware World Equity Fund, domiciled in the UK, which has reached over £736 million (€827 million) since its launch in February 2017.

Ian Ashment, head of systematic and index investments at UBS Asset Management, said: “As clients seek greater alignment between their investment policy and environmental, social and governance concerns we are pleased to have added to our range of passive like, rules-based investment strategies.”
