Tabula CEO hires former ETF colleague

Bond ETF provider Tabula Investment Management has hired Stefan Garcia, previously head of global distribution at UK hedge fund City Financial.

Before City Financial, Garcia was co-head of Emea at ETF provider Source having joined when it was founded in 2009 by MJ Lytle, now chief executive at Tabula.

In his new role, Garcia will be expected to help grow Tabula’s business with a particular focus on the intersection of ESG and fixed income.

“[Garcia] and I spent over six years working together building Source, which was purchased by Invesco in 2017,” said Lytle.

“[Garcia] understands how to build and cultivate long-lasting and highly-effective client relationships. He also understands the importance of being able to scale and systematise relationships,” added Lytle.
