Redington appoints Mercer UK’s Sylvia Pozezanac as CEO

Redington, an independent investment consultancy, has announced the appointment of Sylvia Pozezanac as its new CEO.

Subject to FCA approval, Pozezanac will join Redington on 4 April and leaves her role as president and CEO of Mercer UK, an American asset management firm.

As the successor to Mitesh Sheth MBE, who left Redington in December 2021 to join Newton Investment Management, Sylvia will lead Redington’s continued growth and strategic expansion in existing and new markets.

Pozezanac has more than 30 years of international experience in retirement, investment consulting and insurance.

Kathryn Purves, chair of the board of Redington, said: “Redington is at a hugely exciting point in its development. As we continue towards our aim of helping to make 100 million people financially secure, for the benefit of people and planet, our focus is on supporting our growing client base of DB and DC pension schemes, and also expanding our proposition for wealth managers across the UK and Europe.

“Given Sylvia’s impressive experience, combined with a clear desire to innovate and understand each and every one of our clients’ needs, I am certain she is the right person to lead Redington on this journey.”

Pozezanac added: “Redington created a storm in the market when it launched in 2006 and I have followed its development with interest ever since. The fact that after 15 years the business remains so well-known for its relentless client focus, innovative, purpose-driven and inclusive culture speaks for itself.

“Redington has clear ambitions for continued responsible and strategic growth and technological innovation which I am excited to be part of. I look forward to working with the team to advance these objectives and drive even more successful outcomes for our clients.”

The company is currently led by interim CEO and executive board member Zoe Taylor, who will continue to work alongside Pozezanac in the coming months to ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities as Taylor resumes her deputy CEO role.
