Redington appoints chief financial officer

London-based investment consultancy Redington has appointed Phil Symes as its chief financial officer.

Symes has also been made an executive director of the firm’s board and a member of the management team.

He brings with him a wealth of experience from across financial services, with an enviable reputation for an entrepreneurial mindset and for helping businesses increase efficiencies, drive sustainable growth strategies and build their presence across global markets.

Most recently, Symes was group chief financial officer for the Cambridge Education Group, a position he took up in 2018.

Prior to that, he spent two years as an independent business consultant and ten years as chief financial officer for Visa Europe.

Redington chief executive Mitesh Sheth said: “I am delighted to have Phil Symes join our management team and signal the completion of our board. I’m confident his wealth of international experience will support our ambitious plans for growth and build on the excellent platform that has been created here over the past few years.”
