PineBridge hires Nordics head

US fund manager PineBridge Investments has taken on Viggo Johansen to head its new Nordics office located in Stockholm.

As head of Nordics, Johansen will be responsible for PineBridge’s sales and distribution in the region, focusing on expanding the firm’s share of the institutional market there.

With around 20 years’ industry experience, he joins from Natixis Investment Managers where he was country head of the Nordics.

He will report to PineBridge’s chief executive for Europe, Klaus Schuster, who highlighted Johansen’s track record and expertise in the region.

Schuster said: “The Nordic region has experienced significant growth across all markets and has specific needs and requirements that can best be addressed by an on-the-ground presence and extensive knowledge of the local markets.”
