Pacific Asset Management hires global head of institutional sales

Pacific Asset Management (PAM) has appointed Mary Murphy as its global head of institutional sales. Murphy will report to Matthew Lamb, chief executive, and join as a partner and member of the London-based asset management firm’s executive committee.

Murphy was previously head of global consultant relations at GAM Investments and, before that, at BlackRock, Deutsche Asset Management and State Street Global Advisors Ireland in various capacities.

Lamb said: “Our institutional client base has been the fastest growth area for the business, and Mary’s expertise will help to bring our differentiated, high-conviction solutions to a wider institutional audience.”

Murphy commented: “PAM’s advanced, scalable infrastructure and investment expertise across specialist strategies with proven track records offers opportunities to serve new and existing clients.”

The firm currently offers emerging market equity, emerging market equity income, G10 macro rates, longevity and social change solutions, and North American equities.
