Neuberger Berman creates Europe ESG role

Neuberger Berman has hired an investment director into a newly created position overseeing ESG development in Europe.

Sarah Peasey is based in London and joins from Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM), where she was head of responsible investment strategy – investments.

Neuberger Berman said Peasey would “work directly with the firm’s investment teams to further incorporate ESG principles across asset classes and to enhance long-term value for Neuberger Berman’s clients”.

At LGIM, Peasey worked with the CIO on driving the responsible investment strategy, with a focus on research and portfolio management. She also contributed to investment perspective in order to support product development.

Prior to that role, Peasey was an investment strategist and head of fixed income investment specialists, also at LGIM. 

In the new role, Peasey will report to Jonathan Bailey, head of ESG investing.
