M&G Investments has launched a range of multi-asset funds that it claims adheres to high ESG standards.
Aimed at retail investors, the three funds will also invest 20-50% of their portfolio in impact investments, targeting either environmental or social (or both) themes.
Volatility limits are another aspect of the M&G Sustainable Multi Asset fund range, with each of the three funds having different risk profiles.
Maria Municchi, fund manager of the range, says: “Many customers want their long-term savings to produce good financial returns and make a positive contribution to the planet.”
The climate focus of the funds is implemented through a combination of sector exclusions, engagement and “an understanding of how companies acknowledge and manage their carbon emissions”.
The firm said a preference for investing in direct holdings will better control ESG quality. The funds will invest in equities, bonds and alternatives.
