Mediolanum creates head of equities role

Ireland-headquartered Mediolanum Asset Management has appointed industry veteran Terry Ewing to the new role of head of equities.

He joins from the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, where he was portfolio manager based in the emirate.

Now located in Dublin, Ewing primary role will be developing the equity securities business at Mediolanum. He will also join the investment committee contributing to the investment strategy and decision making of the firm’s investment solutions.

He reports to Brian O’Reilly, head of market strategy. Together they will work closely with chief investment officer Christophe Jaubert.

Ewing has over 25 years’ industry experience. Other roles include head of north American equities at Ignis Asset Management, and also heading teams of portfolio managers and analysts at Old Mutual Asset Management and Britannic Asset Management.
