Lombard Odier Investment Managers has recruited a fund manager to focus on equities with a digital innovation theme in a move prompted by the firm’s belief that a “revolution” in sustainability is taking place.
François Meunier become’s the firm’s equity portfolio manager in what is a newly created role based in London.
Meunier joins from Morgan Stanley where he spent ten years as head of technology equity research.
Lombard Odier IM said the new role’s focus centres on disruption and innovation across sectors, “up and down the value chain”.
Meunier reports to Didier Rabattu, head of equities, who said that the fund firm believed a “Sustainable Revolution” was underway, with tech innovation being a key driver.
Meunier said: “Disruptive and innovative technologies will play a key role in accelerating the trend towards sustainability. This creates significant investment opportunities for those who are willing and able to adapt to the changing economic and social landscape.”
According to Lombard Odier IM, when he was at Morgan Stanley Meunier has also acted as a strategic advisor to the UK Prime Minister Downing Street Office and France’s Ministry of Economy.
