Legal & General hires technology and distribution chiefs

Legal & General has appointed Robert Jamieson group chief digital and technology officer and Janine Menasakanian head of distribution strategy, personal investing. Both roles are newly created.

Jamieson, who reports to Mark Zinkula, chief executive at Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM), leads a new group-wide team managing the firm’s retail digital platforms, including LGIM’s workplace pensions and personal investing platforms.

He was previously chief operating officer of Legal & General’s retirement business.

Menasakanian joins LGIM from Vanguard, where she was head of financial institutions. She reports to Dame Helena Morrissey, head of personal investing.

Morrissey said: “Engaging the nation to invest will enable more individuals to feel financially secure and confident about their future. These latest appointments take us a step closer to executing the plans we’ve been working on.”
