Jersey-headquartered fund manager JTC has hired chartered accountant Greg Kok as head of its management company (‘ManCo’) services. It is a newly-created role.
Based in Luxembourg, Kok will oversee the delivery and growth of the firm’s ManCo platform, as well as its alternative investment fund proposition.
JTC has had a ManCo platform in the Grand Duchy since 2016 – it was one of the first independent management companies based in the country to comply with the Alternative Fund Managers Directive, according to the firm.
Kok was most recently global head of alternative investment fund management at Maitland Group, and has also been executive head of alternatives at FundRock.
He has also managed private equity and real estate transactions, and worked across multiple markets in Asia, UK, Europe and Africa with additional exposure to the US and offshore jurisdictions.
Joost Mees, JTC’s managing director for Luxembourg, said: “The fund management landscape in Europe has altered significantly in recent years, with managers needing real optionality in terms of their operating models and structures to meet investor demands.”
“In a post-Brexit environment, we see real scope for our ManCo platform to grow and evolve even further.”
