Invesco gains fixed income expert from Schroders

US-based asset manager Invesco has appointed Gareth Isaac as its regional chief investment officer for fixed income.

Isaac was a senior fixed income manager at Schroders for five years and joins Invesco in a newly created role as the firm seeks to expand its Invesco Fixed Income (IFI) division.

Responsible for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (Emea), Isaac will report to Rob Waldner, chief strategist and head of the multi-sector team within IFI.

Isaac will lead portfolio management and strategic investment within a global macro team in London and represent the Emea region within IFI.

Isaac has also worked at GLG Partners, SG Asset Management, Newton Investment Management and Axa Investment Managers.

Invesco’s fixed income business managed $196.3 billion (€186.3 billion) in assets under management, as of June 30 last year.
