HSBC GAM hires Nordic expert from Invesco

HSBC Global Asset Management (HSBC GAM) has hired a successor to lead its business in Sweden.

Fredrik Cygnaeus becomes managing director and joins the firm from Invesco, where he led external wholesale business in the Nordic region.

Cygnaeus will work with Kim Lindberg, sales manager, to continue to build HSBC GAM’s business across Nordic countries.

HSBC GAM has been present in Sweden since 2004.

Cygnaeus takes over the role from Sten Ankancrona who left the firm last year to join a family office, Victoria Investment Group.

Prior to Invesco, Cygnaeus spent eight years at Fidelity‎ in Stockholm.

HSBC GAM has assets under management of $462 billion (€370 billion), as at September 2017.
