HSBC Asset Management (HSBC AM) has launched two new ETFs to expand its Paris-aligned Benchmark (PAB) equity ETF range.
The HSBC MSCI Emerging Markets Climate Paris Aligned Ucits ETF and the HSBC MSCI AC Asia Pacific ex-Japan Climate Paris Aligned Ucits ETF are designed for investors seeking to integrate net-zero considerations into their investment portfolios.
Olga de Tapia, global head of ETF and indexing sales at HSBC AM, said: “Enabling our clients to improve the social and environmental impact of their portfolios is a priority for us. With the addition of these two new ETFs, we’re pleased to provide investors and asset allocators a comprehensive suite of core PAB building blocks.”
The funds follow the launch of the existing PAB Equity ETF range and complement the four existing HSBC Climate Paris Aligned Ucits ETFs: the HSBC MSCI World, USA, Europe, and Japan funds.
The newly-launched funds track the MSCI Emerging Markets Climate Paris Aligned benchmark index and the MSCI AC Asia Pacific ex Japan Climate Paris Aligned benchmark index respectively, which both surpass the minimum criteria required by the Paris Climate Accords.
The aim of these indices is to invest in companies which put forward credible decarbonisation solutions, have a high proportion of green revenue, and exposure to lower physical climate risk.
The HSBC MSCI Emerging Markets Climate Aligned Ucits ETF listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) on 7 April and the HSBC MSCI AC Asia Pacific ex-Japan Climate Paris Aligned Ucits ETF is due to be listed on the LSE today (11 April). Further listings in Europe are expected the following week.
