HSBC Asset Management (HSBC AM) has added Taras Pushak as portfolio manager to its emerging markets debt team.

Reporting to Bryan Carter, head of global emerging markets debt (EMD), Pushak will be responsible for managing the firm’s EMD total return strategies, as well as generating macroeconomic views and themes to be implemented across EMD portfolios.

Pushak joins from APG Asset Management, where he was senior portfolio manager.

Prior to that he was as a portfolio manager and senior analyst at EMSO Partners (now Emso Asset Management). He has also held roles at Citigroup, and before that was an economist at the World Bank.
