UK-based boutique HANetf has hired Robin Kooijman as its head of Benelux ETF sales, in a move that will see him replace Rick Van Leeuwen, now director of Benelux sales at the firm.
Kooijman will be responsible for growing Benelux sales capability across the $2.9 billion (€2.51 billion) firm’s range of thematic, commodity, crypto, carbon offsetting and active ETF products.
He previously worked at Lyxor as director of intuitional ETF sales where he led the firm’s Lyxor ETF business in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Kooijman also worked at ETF market maker Nyenburgh Holding, Euroclear Amsterdam and IntesaSanPaolo Group London. He started his career at the Fortis Group MeesPierson Securities in London and Amsterdam.
“We have seen considerable growth in our ETF business this year and Robin’s appointment will enable us to expand our client engagement in the Benelux markets, where we see further potential for our growth,” said Simon Dale, head of sales for HANetf.
HANetf has launched 12 new thematic ETFs in 2021, including Europe’s first space ETF, airlines ETF, software ETF and a number of clean energy ETFs.
