Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) has launched a Ucits emerging markets equity exchange-traded fund (ETF).
The fund, which is the third addition to the firm’s European ETF range, mirrors GSAM’s existing US vehicle tracking the Goldman Sachs ActiveBeta emerging markets equity index.
According to the firm, the percentage of the index exposed to any asset class, country, or region will vary over time. As of the end of September, it was made up of 434 securities from issuers across 25 countries.
Peter Thompson, head of GSAM’s European ETF business, said: “The latest addition to our European ETF business provides investors with a sophisticated route to diversification, which leverages our quantitative investment expertise, and deep knowledge of emerging markets in a simple structure.”
The Goldman Sachs ActiveBeta® Emerging Markets Equity Ucits ETF now joins the Goldman Sachs Access China Government Bond Ucits ETF and the Goldman Sachs ActiveBeta U.S. Large Cap Equity Ucits ETF in the firm’s European range.
More launches are expected over the coming months.
