One Group, a management company (‘ManCo’) provider, has appointed three non-executive directors including Chris Edge, a well-known asset servicing expert in Luxembourg.
Edge, whose career includes heading HSBC Securities Services in Luxembourg, is appointed along with Moritz Kübel and Aron Brown. All will operate on One Group’s group or ManCo boards.
One group, which aims to provide ‘NextGen’ fund governance services, is part of the cross-border ManCo industry that has proliferated in recent years in Luxembourg and Ireland.
Kübel is the founder and chief executive of Perpetual Investors Group, a Munich-based family office, while Brown is the co-founder of Newgate Compliance.
Revel Wood, a co-founder at One Group, said: “As a specialised and focused fund governance solutions provider, we believe it is important to lead by example. Good corporate governance is part of our DNA and this is evidenced by having seasoned non-executive directors appointed to our boards.”
The firm has offices Luxembourg, London and Zurich.
Luc de Vet also recently joined One Group to head relationship management and alternative investment funds. He previously worked at Carne Group, one of the best-known ManCo providers, where he was European alternative investment funds leader.
