Global stewardship head named at BNPP AM

BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM) has appointed Michael Herskovich as global head of stewardship.

He replaces Helena Vines Fiestas who is taking up a new position with the Spanish securities market regulator after a decade with the French fund manager.

Based in Paris, Herskovich will report to Jane Ambachtsheer, global head of sustainability.

Having served as the firm’s global head of corporate governance since 2009, he was responsible for implementing the firm’s stewardship policy and for helping to develop its strategy on sustainability, governance and voting policy and use of ESG ratings.

Herskovich is also chair of the Corporate Governance Committee of the French Association of Asset Managers and chair of the International Corporate Governance Committee of the Council of Institutional Investors.
