FundForum postponed as coronavirus takes toll on investment events

The escalating situation of coronavirus – which has led to numerous governments putting large swathes of their populations on lockdown – is leading to a large number of industry events being postponed.

Europe’s largest industry conference, FundForum International, scheduled to kick off in Monaco on June 30, will now not take place until October.

Other events on the IM|Power platform have also been put back to October over coronavirus fears.

These include Inside ETFs Europe, Alts Invest, The Sustainability & Impact Investor Forum, and Digital Wealth.

The MIPIM real estate conference, scheduled to kick off on March 10, was also delayed until June 2 due to growing concerns over the spread of the coronavirus, it announced earlier this month.

Also, the Association of the Luxembourg Funds Industry took the decision to postpone the largest of its three annual flagship conferences, which was to have taken place this week, “until further notice”.

The cancellation of events due to the spread of Covid-19 is not limited to the funds industry alone with many flagship events in other sectors also putting everything on hold.
