Door, a due diligence technology platform, has appointed a former asset manager chief executive to be an adviser to the board.
William Nott is formerly CEO of Syz Asset Management and previously was CEO of M&G Investment’s retail business.
Door helps institutional and wholesale investors across 35 countries undertake research and due diligence on investment funds and strategies.
Nott said Door was addressing “seismic shifts” shaping asset management, such as digitisation and transparency of sustainability reporting.
“Having worked with professional investors and asset managers throughout my career, I see a real need for this global digital utility to simplify and enable a two-way flow of real-time information,” said Nott, who is also a former board member of the European Fund and Asset Management Association.
The firm said the appointment coincides with a planned expansion globally, and Rob Sanders, co-founder of Door, said Nott would help “scale the community of asset managers and professional investors that seek to transform the way information is exchanged for due diligence”.
