Former Natixis IM counsel joins “tech-driven” law firm

The former legal counsel of asset manager Natixis Investment Managers has joined a law firm that specialises in fund compliance.

Sebastien Moies joins Zeidler Group in London as head of fund structuring covering the UK, Ireland and Luxembourg.

Moies has also worked at law firms Elvinger, Hoss & Prussen and Clifford Chance in Luxembourg and moved to Natixis in London in 2015.

He has specialist knowledge in fund structuring for Ucits and alternative investment vehicles, as well as ‘ManCos’ and ‘AIFMs’, the regulatory and compliance infrastructures associated with these funds.

Moies reports to Arne Zeidler who founded the firm in 2008.

Described as a “technology-driven law firm”, Moies said Zeidler offered asset managers “a genuine alternative to the traditional legal services available”.
