Former Goldman Sachs’ wealth head joins Kingswood

The former head of Goldman Sachs’ private wealth management arm is joining the board of asset manager Kingswood Holdings as a non-executive director. The role is newly created.

Currently co-chief executive of UK Agricultural Finance, Rob Suss will advise Kingswood on global wealth management strategy.

The 48-year-old retired from Goldman Sachs back in 2015. Aside from being the New York-headquartered firm’s head of private wealth management based in London, he was also head of its UK and Ireland private wealth management from 2012 to 2015.

Kingswood’s group chief-executive Gary Wilder said Suss’ appointment to its board is part of a strategy to increase international presence, following a recent US partnership with the acquisition of a stake in Manhattan Harbour, and ongoing discussions regarding “an Asian initiative”.

Currently operating from offices around the UK, as well as Johannesburg, Kingswood has around £2 billion (€2.24 billion) in assets under management.
