First Sentier hires chief of people and culture

First Sentier Investors has appointed Melanie Halsey to the newly created role of chief people and culture officer based in London.

Halsey, who will report to the firm’s chief executive Mark Steinberg, will be responsible for designing and implementing strategies aimed at attracting and engaging employees to help build a “high performance” culture in the business.

She joins from Colt Technology Services where she was most recently executive vice president of HR.

Prior to that, Halsey was global head of HR for venture capital firm Eight Roads, and head of HR for UK financial services at Fidelity.
