Fidelity International has appointed Stefan Kuhn, who joins from State Street Global Advisors, as its new head of ETF distribution, Europe.
In the newly-created role, Kuhn will work on the expansion of Fidelity’s ETF business within Europe, while also working on product development, marketing and distribution.
Kuhn will begin in this role on 1 April, and will be based in Kronberg, Germany, reporting directly to head of sales for Continental Europe, Christophe Gloser.
Fidelity’s chief administrative officer for Europe, Christian Machts, spoke on Kuhn’s appointment and the experience he is set to bring to the company.
He said: “Stefan Kuhn is a highly experienced ETF expert and knows the European market exceptionally well. We welcome his decision to join Fidelity, further strengthening our ETF team. His extensive experience will play an important role as we continue to expand our ETF sales across Europe.”
Kuhn’s most recent role was head of SPDR ETFs at State Street Global Advisors, with responsibility for the central region, covering Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Prior to this, he served in multiple positions at Société Générale, Morgan Stanley and BNP Paribas.
Fidelity currently offers 12 active ETFs for investors, alongside four income-orientated funds. Most recently, six sustainability funds were added to the range, including the Fidelity Sustainable Research Enhanced Equities ETFs.
