Columbia Threadneedle Investments has launched a Luxemburg-registered Ucits-compliant multi-asset Sicav which aims to deliver consistent performance even in times of volatility.
The Threadneedle Euro Dynamic Real Return Fund is managed by Maya Bhandari and designed to deliver equity-like returns of 4% above European inflation over a three to five-year investment horizon with less than two-thirds of the volatility, the firm said.
Bhandari will vary the fund’s asset allocation to exploit pricing differences between asset classes whilst seeking to control volatility.
The fund can invest across a range of asset classes including equities, fixed income, commodities, real estate investment trusts, cash, Threadneedle funds and alternative investments.
Bhandari said: “In an uncertain investment climate, where investor sentiment can change overnight as seen at the start of February, managing risk in a dynamic way is key to achieving a successful investment outcome.”
The fund is intended for distribution in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland pending regulatory approval.
