Close Brothers adds to high net worth team

London-based Close Brothers Asset Management (CBAM) has expanded its investment management service for high net worth clients with two appointments to newly-created roles.

With more than 30 years’ industry experience, Philip Young (pictured) joins from Brewin Dolphin as managing director of the high net worth team. Prior to Brewin Dolphin, where he worked as charity investment director since 2011, Young managed investments at UBS, HSBC and Deutsche Asset Management.

He will be joined by Lucy Katzarova in the firm’s new office located in the West End of London.

Katzarova will take on the role of investment manager, supporting the proposition for charities and private clients.

She also joins from Brewin Dolphin, where she was assistant director. She has also had a three-year stint at UBS Wealth Management.

CBAM – which manages over £12 billion (€13.1 billion) of assets – recently opened a larger office in the prestigious Mayfair district of the UK capital to meet the needs of its high net worth business growth.
