Carillon unveils ESG US small cap strategy

Carillon Tower Advisers has launched an active US small cap Sicav strategy to be managed by its affiliate Eagle Asset Management with an ESG focus.

The fund offers European investors exposure to high-quality, active US small cap equities, while implementing sustainable investment philosophies.

Co-portfolio manager Matthew McGeary said the fund integrates a “philosophy of investing in durable franchises with strong balance sheets and sustainable business models”.

The Eagle Asset Management team seeks to deliver clients alpha using an active investment approach using proprietary research to “target promising small cap companies across all market conditions,” McGeary added.

Eagle is a signatory of the UN-backed Principles for Responsible Investment, and the fund employs a so-called “ESG-aware process”.

The fund will be managed by members of Eagle’s team based in Waterbury, Vermont, made up of McGeary and portfolio co-managers Jason Wulff, Betsy Pecor, and Matt Spitznagle.
