BMO Global Asset Management has implemented a cloud-based service from vendor NICE to record its Microsoft Teams meetings for compliance purposes.
Video conferencing via apps like Teams have become one of the most notable changes in the last 18 months and the mass move to remote working.
However, a number of compliance obligations around recording communications remain for regulated staff working from home.
In addition, there has also been an increased focus on the security risks around remote communication and increased vulnerability to cyber-attacks.
This has led staff to be stuck with handling security patches, upgrades and other platform management tasks in the absence of an office IT department.
“As we transitioned to Microsoft Teams to support our remote workforce, we needed to implement a compliance recording solution quickly,” said Scott Wilson, Director, infrastructure & operations at BMO.
The move has also enabled BMO to accelerate its adoption of Microsoft Teams, added Wilson.
