Björn Storim appointed BNY’s head of Germany

BNY Mellon, the asset manager and asset servicing business, in Germany has hired Björn Storim, formerly of Credit Suisse, as the firm seeks to hire more local talent.

Storim is based in Frankfurt and will head business in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Central & Eastern Europe.

His remit is to cover asset managers, pension funds and other clients.

At Credit Suisse Storim was co-speaker of the executive board in Germany and co-chairman of the Germany and Austria management committee. He spent 16 years there and was responsible for global markets, international wealth management, asset management and regulatory affairs.

Hani Kablawi, chairman of international at BNY Mellon said the firm was committed to adding local strength to client-facing teams.
