Axa IM hires for new institutional role

Axa Investment Managers (AXA IM) has appointed Rachel Basarab-Horwarth to the newly created role of institutional sales director.

Based in London, Basarab-Horwarth will oversee the development of opportunities with institutional investors such as corporates, pension schemes, and professional trustee relationships.

Prior to joining Axa IM, Basarab-Horwarth spent two years as sales director and senior investment consultant at New York-headquartered Mercer.

Other previous roles include director of Europe, Middle East, and Africa client services for cash business at State Street Global Advisors, as well as director of global accounts at BlueBay Asset Management.

AXA IM manages around €750 billion of assets.
