Asset manager Artemis chooses Northern Trust for single asset servicing mandate

Artemis, a UK-based asset management company, has appointed Northern Trust for a range of “whole office” asset-servicing functions across UK and Luxembourg-domiciled funds.

The firms said the agreement “consolidates” Artemis’s asset servicing functions with a “single service provider”.

Northern Trust will provide investment-operations services, fund administration, depositary, global custody and transfer agency for Artemis’ Luxembourg and UK-domiciled fund ranges.

Artemis is an active with around £23.4 billion of assets under management.

Northern Trust’s Toby Galysher, president of global fund services, said the firm would help Artemis simplify its operating model while driving efficiencies and opportunities for collaboration across front, middle and back offices.

Lesley Cairney, chief operating officer at Artemis, said the choice of asset servicing partner is “absolutely pivotal” in supporting the business and that Northern Trust will be able to help Artemis evolve its data and digital requirements.
