A portfolio manager at Triodos Energy Transition Europe Fund grew by 50%, outperforming its Article 9 competitors in the first seven months of 2022 based on Europe’s most stringent sustainable fund category
The $190 million fund is registered as article 9, the most sustainable classification in EU’s environmental, social and governance investing rulebook, and invests in the wind, solar and energy-storage schemes.
Triodos is the only fund in the category with a 50% uprise. Moreover, according to Morningstar, the fund’s performance in 2022 was over 10% better than its closest Article 9 competitor.
The geopolitical and energy crises in Europe accelerated Triodos’ portfolio in 2022.
As fossil-fuel prices soar in Europe, Triodos is among sustainable investors who endorse investment in alternative energy for enormous and abiding revenues.
The Netherlands-based fund has been aiming for private companies and startups in emerging technologies.
